Our BIFIS courses have been developed to give its members the tools needed to tackle the different environments and situations each may find themselves in during their working lives.
Please do be aware that our asbestos courses do not allow your to carry out any work involving asbestos or materials containing asbestos. If you believe you may come into contact with asbestos or silica dust always make sure to take the appropriate safety measures.
If you are required to work with asbestos you must seek further training, in accordance with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.
There are four courses to choose from: BIFIS Asbestos Awareness, IATP Asbestos Awareness, and Silica Dust. All courses meet BIFIS’s registration requirements.
Whilst BIFIS does not require you to complete an IATP accredited course, other organisations that you work with such as specific retailers, may require this. As such, installers are advised to check, in advance, the relevant requirements for other organisations they work with to ensure that they are purchasing and completing the correct course, relevant to them and their circumstances.
Can’t find your course or having trouble starting?
Log out of the site and when you log back in hover your mouse over the “welcome” icon in the top right of the page. From there click on “My Dashboard” which will show you your “Courses in Progress” and you will be able to start the course.
